You’re invited to a kōrero about the future of Māori education

The Ministry of Education is inviting all whānau, hapu, iwi - tamariki, mātua and kaumātua - to help build the future of Māori education in Aotearoa.

The government wants our education system to focus on success for all students, including all Māori. As part of this, we would like you to share your views about education with us and each other.

You can be involved in early learning or kōhanga reo. You can be a student or a teacher in a school or in a kura. At a wānanga or another tertiary institution. You can be a parent or a grandparent. Or an employer. It doesn’t matter. What matters is we want to hear from you.

We want to know what’s important to Māori in education; what we value about what we have; what we want to change and how we would change it to ensure even greater success for all Māori in education, life and employment.
